Free scholarship Program

Poverty continues to compound the challenges faced by vulnerable families in many communities, with women and children bearing the greatest burden. Nowhere is this more evident than in the lives of children, where the lack of educational opportunities leads to a rise in child labor and child marriages—a heartbreaking reality, particularly in Northern Nigeria.

But your generosity is changing lives. Because of your kindness, five children who were once weighed down by the hopelessness of their circumstances now have a chance to pursue their dreams and return to school.

Meet Chimobi Eze, a 13-year-old boy who has never met his father and tragically lost his mother a few years ago. He was left in the care of his grandmother, who has been doing her best to provide for him but was unable to secure a future for his education—until today. Thanks to your support, Chimobi has been granted a full scholarship, allowing him to continue his studies.

Then, there’s Kinkeni Dauda, a 12-year-old girl whose parents were murdered by extremists. She relocated to Jikwoyi to live with a relative, and her dreams of receiving an education seemed out of reach due to a lack of funds. Today, however, that dream is alive again—she has been awarded a full scholarship. The same is true for Wonder Monday and the others, all of whom now have the opportunity to thrive.

Although the Sovereign Grace African Foundation (SGAF) does not directly provide scholarships for vulnerable and less privileged children, we help open doors for them by guiding them through application processes and connecting them with millions of scholarship opportunities available around the world.

By the grace of God, this first attempt has been a success. Every one of the five children who applied through our program has received a full scholarship. These are the same children who have been faithfully attending our Free Weekend Program, demonstrating their commitment to learning.

Our mission remains focused on preaching the gospel, but as we encounter children in desperate need, we cannot stand by idly. We seek tangible ways to make a difference. One day, God willing, we hope to build a school to further this mission. But until then, we will continue to do what we can with the resources God has placed in our hands.

Thank you for partnering with us in this life-changing work. May the Lord bless you richly and reward your generosity.
