A Successful Easter Sunday with the Kids!

Easter Sunday was a joyful and meaningful time with the children! Heshimu shared a teaching from the book of Esther, focusing on Mordecai—a man who was greatly honored by the king for his loyalty and faithfulness. Pointing us to Christ, who perfectly honored His Father through obedience, even to the point of death on a cross and is greatly honored by His Father.

We reflected on the profound mystery of the crucifixion—what the enemy orchestrated for evil became the very instrument of Christ’s highest glorification. As Philippians 2:8–9 declares: “He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross. Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name.”

Through this, we learnt a powerful truth: God is sovereign over all things—even the schemes and acts of the enemy. What was meant to destroy became the pathway to eternal victory. Just as Mordecai’s faithfulness led to honor, Christ’s obedience led to His ultimate glory, showing us that even in darkness, God’s purpose shines through.

We give thanks for the light of this truth shining in our heart; may it take deep root and grow for the glory of God in Christ alone.
